Oh Dear! - Heal Soon!

So my niece broke her leg and did a really good job of it, breaking both bones in her lower leg above her ankle.  So I decided to make her a card.  "Get Well" isn't really an appropriate salutation, since she's not sick as such - this is why I like the Sassy Salutations stamp set (126705 wood, 126707 clear) which has "Feel Better" instead - still good for sick people but also appropriate when get well is not.  Unfortunately this is still on my wish list so I had to think outside the box.  This is what I came up with:

Her favourite colour is purple, so I have used a combination of Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Melon Mambo.  The dear is the retired Dasher with his antlers cut off - I was NOT cutting around them!  I cut a small length of 1/8" very vanilla taffeta ribbon, which was still too wide for dasher's delicate paw, so I cut it in half up the middle.  This also caused it to fray a bit and made a more authentic looking bandage.

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder
DSP:  Flirtatious (Retired)
Stamp Sets:  Dasher (Retired), Lovely Letters Alphabet (116392 wood, 127796 clear)
Other:  2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch (118874), Elegant Eggplant Scallop Dot Ribbon, 1 3/4" Circle Punch (119850), Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlits (Retired)

I'm not always in the habit of decorating envelopes, and I was short on time so this was no exception, but if there's anyone in our family who is likely to get sick or hurt - it's Mikayla.  I was going to include a photo, but I can't figure out how to rotate it how I want, but it is addressed Mikayla Mikayla Mikayla.  Say it slowly and shake your head!
