Recent Projects

It turns out I don't have as many pictures of projects as I thought.  I have created some other things, but I mustn't have considered them share-worthy.  I think my mojo has been taking a break over Christmas, but I am getting back into it now.  A couple of packages from Stampin Up! have helped.

Here are a couple of pics of a birthday book that I created.  I didn't go nuts taking pics of every page - you get the idea...

Each "page" is a C4 sized envelope with the days of the month pasted onto the back.  You write in birthdays on the appropriate dates, and when you have made a card for a birthday, you put it in the envelope for that month until their birthday rolls around.

The other project I have to share is from my friend Jay's 30th Birthday.  He had a cocktail party and he asked me to do something crafty with the cocktail menus.  Pretty classy we both thought...

That is all I have to share for today.

I'm entering a Challenge!

So, I've made a whole lot of things that I planned on sharing on my blog, but I just haven't gotten around to sharing yet, but since I have a blog I've decided to enter a challenge!  I thought I had better post this before I get around to sharing the other things I've done, because I only have until noon Monday PST - and I have no idea when that is in my time!

Anyway this is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

And here is what I came up with:

I'm a bit impressed that I managed to incorporate all of the colours on the DSP without anything looking out of place or too overboard.  It wasn't a goal that I started out with, but it did happen that way.

I have used the new Stampin Up! Sale-a-bration DSP, Sycamore Street, and the Sale-a-bration Island Indigo ribbon.

The colours of the cardstock are Island Indigo, Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Summer Starfruit.

The xoxo stamp is from the My Little Valentine stamp set, which is available during January as a promo.
